Years expertise in in-house manufacturing
Cryomagnetics designs, manufactures, and delivers complete superconducting magnet systems and cryogenic equipment for science, industry, and OEM applications worldwide — entirely in-house.

OUR STORY
Cryomagnetics was founded in 1983 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee — a city built on the history of scientific discovery. For over 40 years, we have designed and manufactured superconducting magnet systems and cryogenic accessories for research institutions, national laboratories, government agencies, and OEM partners around the world. From our earliest liquid helium systems to the world's first commercially available 4.2K pulse tube-cooled superconducting magnet, we have consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible in cryogenic magnet technology. Every system we ship is engineered, wound, machined, assembled, and tested on our campus. No outsourcing. No exceptions.

WHY CRYOMAGNETICS
Since 1983, we've delivered superconducting magnet solutions to universities, national laboratories, government agencies, and OEM partners worldwide. Our experience shows in every system we ship.
From magnet winding to precision machining and electronic assembly, everything is built on our campus. No outsourcing means tighter tolerances, better lead times, and full accountability at every stage.
We manufactured the world's first commercially available 4.2K pulse tube-cooled superconducting magnet system. Cryogen-free systems remain our primary expertise, delivering operational simplicity and lower cost of ownership.
Our systems are used by major system integrators and resellers globally. We understand the demands of high-volume, specification-driven manufacturing and have the infrastructure to deliver.
OUR FACILITY
Our facility is located at 1006 Alvin Weinberg Drive, Oak Ridge, Tennessee — home to some of the most advanced scientific research in the world. Our campus houses a complete manufacturing operation including magnet winding, precision machining, cryogenic assembly, and electronic fabrication.
